Chapter 15 · 15.25
Add your logo to every slide at once
You want your logo, brand colour and a footer on every slide of your presentation. Pasting it onto each slide separately is a lot of work, and it never ends up in exactly the same spot. Use the Slide Master instead: whatever you place there appears on all slides.
Step by step
- Go to the View tab and click Slide Master. The Slide Master tab appears.
- Click the top, largest slide on the left. This is the master slide; the smaller slides below it are the layouts based on it.
- Insert your logo via Insert and Picture / Image, and position it where you want it. You can also choose the background, font and colours here.
- Click Close Master. Your logo now appears on all slides.

Don't want it on the title slide?
Then don't add the logo to the master slide, but only to the layouts where you want it: click that layout in the Slide Master (for example, "Title and Content") and insert the logo there.
Pitfalls
- Is the logo missing from one slide? That slide may be using a layout without a logo, or you've changed the formatting on that slide itself. Right click the slide and choose Reset slide.
- Within the Slide Master, you can't accidentally move the logo while creating slides. If you want to adjust it, go back to the Slide Master.
- A logo you paste onto a regular slide only appears on that slide.
